If you missed them, here’s a recap of goings-on here at HGT in the month of January, 2012. It was a busy month, full of resolution inspired recipes. Guiltless pizzas, apple pies, and even some homemade cheese.
Julie and Ovi’s favorite recipe of the month:
Five Spiced Butternut and Barley Salad
This simple hearty salad won a unanimous vote for favorite in our house. It’s packed full of flavor, fills you up without weighing you down, and manages to get tastier after a day or two in the fridge. It’s rare that Ovi will choose a savory dish as favorite when there are two dessert contenders, so we know this recipe’s a keeper.
Most popular recipe of the month:
Espresso Infused Meringue Cookies
It looks like a collective sweet tooth, helped push these little meringue cookies to the front of the pack. They won by a landslide as the most popular post on HGT this month. They’re delicious, guilt free, and pretty to look at. So much to love in such a little cookie.
The rest of the goods:
Curried Couscous with Shallots and Winter Greens
Lighter Chicken Saltimbocca Rollatini with Lemon-Sage Pan Sauce
Minted Paneer – Homemade Indian Farmer’s Cheese
Grilled Eggplant Steaks with Spicy Hoisin and Balsamic Glaze
Portobello Pizza – Skinny Carb Craving Killer

Wow nice recipes you have here. Great pictures too
Thank you so much!
